Jim and Nancy Schade founded Schadé Vineyard, just outside of Volga, near the town of Brookings, South Dakota, in 1999. At the time, Schadé Vineyard was one of only three wineries in the state of South Dakota. Today, it remains committed to growing and sourcing the finest local fruits to produce its distinctive wines.
