Winery Description

Wilde Prairie Winery is a family farm located just west of beautiful Splitrock Creek on wonderful rolling hills perfect for growing grapes. We produce many fun wines, among them our Dandelion Wine. This year was a bumper crop as you have probably noticed with all the patches of yellow all over the state.

Our winery is run by Jeff, Victoria, Sarah, Chris, and Pam Wilde along with the help of many friends. We have been making wine for 12 years and became South Dakota's 9th farm winery in July 2004. Our first vines were planted in 1997 and we now have 1300 vines.

We grow several varieties of grapes as well as rhubarb, dandelions and have recently planted bushes and trees that will produce great new wines in the future.

We are always looking for South Dakota grown fruit from which we create our wines.
